October 6, 2007Fred Walks Away from Taking Back Sunday. [News]Yes, it's true my fellow friends.
Fred Mascherino, guitarist of Taking Back Sunday, has left the band. In the statement on the bands website, it just said that Fred wanted to 'focus on his solo career', which is, The Color Fred. [www.myspace.com/thecolorfred] He's planning to drop his solo album October 30th, which, coincidentally is the same day the TBS crew are dropping their Bsides CD. Do I smell competition? I'd hope not. Fred, you will be missed. And in other Taking Back Sunday news, "Louder Now Part 2" will be released November 20th. Get your X-mas lists ready kiddies. {Billiam}

September 5, 2007Gerard Way is officially hitched. [News]Yes ladies & gents. It's buzzing around all over the world that this, is apparently true.. Gerard Way & LynZ of Mindless Self Indulgence are married. And, on August 5th, Frank Iero married his long time sweetheart Jamia. So it looks like 3 out of the 5 boys in My Chemical Romance are officially hitched. Shocking? Not in the case of Frank & Jamia. It was a long time coming. Gerard however? What the hell. How long has he even been with LynZ? How long have they known each other? How did they meet? Seriously. And no, this is not a case of "I'm angry" or "upset because he's happy". Far from it. I don't give two shits about Gerard to be honest. I love his music, & what-not, but I am in NO WAY attracted to Gerard. He scares the 'effin hell out of me to be honest. [&don't send me stupid comments going "OMG Gerardl i5 lyke s0o0o0o hawt!!!111". Shut up] So, congrats to them I suppose. [however, I don't think it'll last, but whatever] And a MAJOR congrats to Frank & Jamia. They deserve it more than anyone. {Billiam}

September 2, 2007Silverchair "Young Modern" [Review]Since I absolutely love every album that Silverchair has ever released, I must review their latest CD "Young Modern", because it deserves all the attention in the world right now. So, after a 5 year absence from making & releasing music, Silverchair finally got back together to release this new, dynamic album. I can definitely say, I had extremely high hopes hearing about this album, & it by far, kept my hopes soaring. Mr. Johns, & the crew, certainly didn't disappoint. They start off with the killer, up-beat track "Young Modern Station", which is clearly a very amazing song. It will definitely grab anyones attention from the start, & want the person to keep listening on. "Straight Lines" follows, which was their recent single, & I certain do dig this song just as much as the first one. "If You Keep Losing Sleep", definitely the best song on the entire CD in my opinion. The music makes me think of something along the lines of a musical circus to some extent. Just very up-beat, catchy, & meshed with amazing vocals. [Daniel will never fail me with those vocals]. As the CD goes along, I definitely dig every track for every line, guitar riff, musical influence, & the amazing vocals that Daniel lays out. Once reaching track seven though, "Waiting All Day", I can by far admit, this is the song I instantly hit 'repeat' on, & listened to it multiple times in a row. Daniel's vocals were just extremely well done, beautiful, & the musical melodies everything so perfectly. If you wanted to pick one song in the entire world that was aced to the max in perfection, it would be "Waiting All Day". The lyrics are beautiful, & I think the bridge & chorus, can definitely get stuck in anyones head for a repeated amount of time, if not, for weeks. It happens to me all the time. Every other track past that point still lives up to my every expectation, & as it closes with "All Across The World", I almost get emotional with the fact that I realize, it's the end. I wished the CD was 20 tracks, because I'm sure there is so much more that they could have laid out after their 5 year absence. But, I can definitely say, I'm 'waiting all day' for their next release, & I'll definitely be waiting all the time with patience on their next release.. We can only hope, it won't be 5 years ago, because then, my patience would wear thin, haha. Tracklisting::: [1] "Young Modern Station". [2] "Straight Lines". [3] "If You Keep Losing Sleep". [4] "Reflections Of A Sound". [5] "Those Thieving Birds // Strange Behaviour". [6] "The Man That Knew Too Much". [7] "Waiting All Day". [8] "Mind Reader". [9] "Low". [10] "Insomnia". [11] "All Across The World". There is also a Special Edition of this CD from what I heard has bonus tracks, & also a 'Making Of 'Straight Lines' Music Video'. I shall be checking that out, & reviewing that separately once I get my greedy little hands on it, haha. Thank you, & I hope you all check out Silverchair, & their amazing-ness. I'm positive, if you enjoyed the trails that "Neon Ballroom", & "Diorama" followed, you'll LOVE "Young Modern". {Billiam}

August 29, 2007Music News [Incoming]Avenged Sevenfold will be releasing a single entitled "Almost Easy" on September 24th from their upcoming self-titled album. This has been reported that 15 people were 'dragged out of the mosh pit' & 'hospitalized' at a My Chemical Romance concert recently. [If you can't handle the heat, stay out of the pit, seriously] And, in other words of My Chem, for their European tour in the fall, Mindless Self Indulgence will be the supporting act. [Can we say, pure chaos?] Taking Back Sunday have announced they will be releasing a b-side album called 'Notes From The Past' on October 30th. [I cannot wait.] Angels & Airwaves have released a new single called "Everything's Magic" over on their MySpace page. [I'd recommend checking it out.] Australian band Silverchair will be releasing a new single, & a new video will follow for their song "If You Keep Losing Sleep", in which they have announced that it shall be 'electrifying'. [Mmm, I cannot wait] The Spill Canvas' new CD entitled 'No Really, I'm Fine' will be released October 2. Hilly Kristal, found of club CBGB, has passed away at the age of 75 due to cancer. We pay our condolences to her friends & family in this saddening time. Rumor has it that My Bloody Valentine will be reuniting just in time for Coachella in 2008, & then for a world tour. Panic! At The Disco were once again 'bottled' for the second year in a row at the Readings Festival. [Seriously people, knock it the fuck off. If you DON'T like Panic!, fucking LEAVE. Okay? How hard is it to walk away instead of standing there, throwing shit like a bunch of immature 5 year olds? It's uncalled for, & unneeded. I'm sure you wouldn't enjoy people throwing bottles at you, morons.] This is all as far as my news goes. I'll have more in later dates. Thank you. {Billiam}

August 28, 2007Blake Lewis & The Blake Beat [Web Review]It goes like this.
Blake Lewis was on American Idol. However, being runner up, he's still a tremendous success. He's getting a lot of net cred, & so forth, & here & now, I'm going to review the one Blake website I have bookmarked that I think EVERY Blake fan would enjoy as a whole. Check it out here. ![]() http://www.theblakebeat.com & http://www.myspace.com/theblakebeat My good companion Meg, who is a wonder webbie, runs both the MySpace account, & 'The Blake Beat's official site. I would definitely give this website 5 out of 5, being that it stands out, it's got amazing graphics for any fan to check out & fall in love with. Not only that, there is a message board for ALL fans to join & discuss everything from Blake, to your favorite Television series, or video game. It's got it all for everyone, & that's just the start. [Yes, I do post over on those forums, so I would suggest even more for people to come over there & join it.] Thank you for checking this out.

Avril Lavigne Rip-Off Artist? [Gossip]So, I've decided to let anyone that reads this their own decision. Here's the controversy. We all know Avril was 'supposedly' getting sued for copying the chorus part of her hit smash "Girlfriend" from a band The Rubinoos which has a similar chorus line of "Hey, hey, you, you, I wanna be your boyfriend". Hmm, coincidence, I think not. I think she stole, plain & simple. Now, she's ripping off controversial singer & artist Peaches.
Want proof? Here it is. http://www.youtube.com/v/P0d2z-dWZmE It doesn't get any plainer than that folks. The beat is extremely the same, & with-not standing, she just seemed to up-tempo it a slight bit. Mrs. Lavigne, when will you learn? Now, me, I'm not a fan of Avril, & won't be. Peaches on the other hand, I love, & adore like no other. You can't say it's a mere coincidence, because just a while back, Avril sited Peaches' song "I'm The Kinda" as her number 1 choice in her top 5 favorite songs. Tsk Tsk Avril Needless to say, I think Peaches would win a cat fight, for sure. You don't fuck with Peaches! Comments are welcomed on this. [Billiam] ♥

August 27, 2007Teen Choice Awards '07 [Overview Review!]So, as we all know, the 'Teen Choice Awards' usually are a big deal.
And so, I watched this year. [I'm practically guilty of not really watching last year, big deal, there's always the next, right?] So, anyhow, moving along. This is how I felt about the nights events. Some of the award winners were deserving, & some, however, weren't in my opinion. The performances, here's the run down. Avril Lavigne, we could have done without. That song "Girlfriend" is obnoxious. And to me, there were defininitely better songs, & singles out in this past year. She makes me want to gag her with a filthy gym sock. Was it just me, or did Kelly Clarkson's singing seem a bit.. off-key? She sounded as though she was struggling to hit notes, & screaming, which is by far unnecassary. Fergie.. I'd like to give her a reason to cry. That 'up to the ass' dress, was horrible looking, & I just couldn't tolerate watching her performance, hence leaving the room. & basically, I didn't care to watch the last performance seeing as I didn't care for the artist, the song, or their obnoxious rap screaming. We could have done without it. Of course, Zac Efron was a BIG winner this year. He picked up an award with the High School Musical 2 crew, & the 'Hottie' award along with Jessica Alba. Now, in all honesty, I don't get the big fuss over Mr. Efron, however I was digging his casual duds with the dressy vest over it. I don't think he's attractive in the least, & the girls that scream over him, save your breath, he's obviously taken by co-star Vanessa Hudgens. Jared Padalecki, Dane Cook & Justin Long were the highlights of the night for me. However, I'm more partial to them because they are my favorite few people in the Hollywood spotlight. Jared presented a few awards, & managed to look amazing while doing so. Dane won for Best Comedian, & who would have seen that coming? Plus he managed to I believe push the censors not once, but twice. During his acceptance speech, there was a 'bleep' like no other. And following that, when he & Jessical Alba presented an award, he made the comment of when he laughs his "balls wiggle". That, was censored obviously. I'm waiting to hear of the backlash that's going to cause seeing as it's a 'TEEN' award show. [Sorry but when you decide to have Dane do anything on a television award show, you KNOW how he is live, & the things he says, you need to re-think those things] Justin made a few very hilarious comments, joking rashly on actor Jason Lee [star of 'My Name Is Earl'], & managing to throw in a promo for the Mac Computer that he so highly appears in commercials for. I was amused needless to say. Justin Timberlake on the other hand, won the award for Ultimate Achievment, in his career brash of winning 21 Teen Choice Awards. That is quite the amazing feat for such a man. He does have quite the talent as well, & I believe he deserves every second of this. He's amazing, end of. Other than the things listed, & talked of, I really didn't care much for anything else that happened to go on. I felt there were better people that could have won certain categories, & is it just me or does it bug the piss out of you when they don't show EVERY award winner getting their awards? If they know 2 hours isn't enough, extend the time, & vouch for 3. Thank you. Here are the results of the night. Movies Choice Movie, Action Adventure – “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End” Television Choice TV Movie – “High School Musical 2” Music Choice Music Single – “Girlfriend,” Avril Lavigne Other Awards Choice Male Hottie – Zac Efron [Thanks for reading] {Billiam}
